Social Skill Building and Frustration Tolerance Programs

 While parents are fundamental contributors to their child's success; raising children

 

takes a village! Learning social skills and developing frustration tolerance begins at

 

home and concurrently, we expect these skills to be reinforced at school and other

 

 events wherein there is adult supervision. Realistically, this is not often the case.

 

Feeling frustrated?

 

We recognize your challenge and we fully agree that mastering appropriate social 

 

skills and managing frustration are necessary parts of developing self-esteem

 

and can determine your child's success in many aspects of life.     

 

At Holistic Psych Center we offer a 12-week Social Skills Building (SSB) program and a

 

12- week Frustration Management (FM) program for youths age 9-12.

 

Parental involvement: No matter how many people you have teaching your child

 

social skills, unless skills are reinforced in daily life, across all situations, they will

 

not be retained. Parental involvement is crucial because no one else interacts with your

 

child in all aspects of their life, expect you, the parents. Our 12-week programs

 

are designed to involve parents and children in the growth process.
